James Amen

James Amen is a Managing Director at Ardea. He joined the firm in 2017 and has over 13 years of experience, predominantly in investment banking, with complementary private equity experience. At Ardea, he specializes in M&A and capital markets transactions in the wealth management and professional services sectors.

Prior to Ardea, James was an Associate at FFL Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm. He focused on evaluating investments in middle-market companies across the tech-enabled services, business services, and consumer sectors. He began his career at Solomon Partners (formerly known as Peter J. Solomon Company), advising consumer and retail companies on M&A and financing transactions.

James holds a BS in Applied Mathematics & Economics from Brown University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude.
